“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). These are the final words of Joshua at the end of his life. In his youth, there were times when he got it right, and times when he got it wrong. Sometimes Israel was victorious. Sometimes, their disobedience led to defeat. After 110 years of experiencing God, Joshua came to trust God’s plan over his own agenda. “Choose this day,” he tells us, that we might not wait 110 years, but begin today, experiencing God’s blessings.
