Turn Around – Sermon on Luke 24:13-35
With their heads downcast, two disciples walk along the road to Emmaus.
They are trying to cling to the memories of the life of Jesus, but the experience has been overshadowed by the seemingly hopeless happenings on Good Friday. Crucified. “We had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel.”
Imagine how surprised they were to discover that the third party to join their conversation was none other than the Risen Christ.
