For some, Good Friday, is a day off from work and then for others it is just another Friday on the calendar; a day ending a long work week. For Christians, Good Friday is a day we observe to remember Jesus’ death on the cross.
John 19:30 tells us that after Jesus received the soured wine He said “It is Finished” then bowed his head and gave up his spirit. These words sadden me but scripture tells us that on Easter morning the tomb was empty – Jesus Is Alive!! Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice for our sins so that we may live forever with Him. This is why we call it Good Friday. What an amazing act of love!!
