Happy New Year!

We are praying in the New Year at Dortches Baptist Church. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We know that God has great plans for our church in 2017. More importantly, God has plans for you personally. Join us this year in making church involvement a priority as we discover those plans together.

We will resume our regular scheduled worship opportunities this wee.  Join us this Wednesday, January 4, 2016 for our children’s mission programs. While the children learn about Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionaries, the adults will meet in the small dining room for a time of prayer and devotion. During this time, not only we will review and pray for our prayer list concerns, we will break up into small groups and disperse around our campus to pray for the various needs of our church and ministries. We will literally pray in the new year at this gathering.

Come back on Sunday for Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 AM and worship at 11:00 AM. This is no ordinary Sunday. It’s Epiphany! Celebrate the light that came into the world – a revelation that reached even magi from the east.

Then, on Sunday Evening, January 8, 2016, our evening worship schedule will resume. Join us in the sanctuary at 5:00 for a multimedia presentation, entitled There is a season… Aided by video clips of musicians modern and classic, Pastor Phil will lead a group discussion about the famous passage on time in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Start your year off on the right foot by making a resolution to take advantage of these awesome worship opportunities!
