Joseph: “It can be stored until it is needed. . . This will keep the country from being destroyed because of the lack of food.” (Gen. 46:36)

Being reasonably and responsibly prepared is not a lack of “trust” in God, but doing your part to harvest his blessings so that you do not have to endanger others to rescue you later.

“When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field. . .” (Lev. 23:22)

At the same time, be mindful of the needs of others, not taking more than you need, and especially make provisions for those who lack the means to take care of themselves.
