It’s a new year with a new president. The recent inauguration of Donald Trump has many wondering about the future of our nation and world. Only one thing is sure: Our future is uncertain.

Over 100 years ago, Virginia Woolf wrote about her times, “The future is dark which is the best thing the future can be, I think.” Writer Rebecca Solnit has written blogs and given interviews about this striking journal entry; and reflects on the darkness with which Woolf faced in her times.
