Rest in the Lord has now hit 25 Mattresses Delivered!

Rest in the Lord has now delivered 25 brand new mattresses to the homes of families affected by Hurricane Matthew. Our efforts have been concentrated in the Princeville/Tarboro area. Princeville suffered the greatest damage in our area. Many residents are still waiting to move back into their homes.

In addition to mattresses, we were able to distribute new and used sheets and pillows as well. Our children provided pillowcases and raised funds during Vacation Bible School this past June. We were able to distribute these items and the mattresses the kids paid for this month.

One of our DBC kids, Warren Hill, was able to come along and help hand these items our personally. Warren had a blast at VBS learning about the Bible and this great mission project, and he thought it was cool to get to be a part of the very same mission he had seen on the big screen in opening assembly.

We are very proud to have hit the 25 mattress mark. With additional funding recently secured, we hope to deliver another 50 mattresses this summer.

In addition to the donations we have received from partnering churches, we were awarded a grant from the disaster relief fund of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina (CBFNC). It is amazing to watch how God continues to grow this ministry, expanding its reach.
