All are invited to an ecumenical worship service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church.

January 18-25 is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The official theme for 2018 released by the Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute is “Your Right Hand, O Lord, Glorious in Power” (Exodus 15:6).

Churches from Nash County, Edgecombe County, and Rocky Mount are collaborating to emphasize our unity in Christ through a joint worship service on January 21st. This service will be a great opportunity for the members of Dortches Baptist Church to hear from other pastors and to connect through Christ with other Christians beyond our church walls. Rev. Phillip Barton from Dortches Baptist Church will be preaching the sermon at this service. This celebration of the Word will include the official liturgy shared by churches all around the world for this occasion, uniting us with Christ’s body at large. The service will conclude with gathering at the Communion table, where all Christians regardless of denominational background are extended an invitation to partake.

The offering collected during this service is designated to support the ministry of the Men’s Christian Fellowship Home in Rocky Mount.

Please mark your calendars, and invite a friend or neighbor to join us for this unique worship opportunity. Even if you are not able to attend, we hope that you will join us in prayer that week.
